Spellblade fix: the Gambit now counts Blade Ward

October 29, 2026 · Fix

If you play a Spellblade, Spellsword's Gambit was quietly ignoring Blade Ward. The ward was spent on the strike, but it never added to the damage. It does now.

Stack Flame Blade, Spell Parry and Blade Ward before the Gambit and all three count, the way the ability always said they would.

Newer: Class fixes: Shadow, Necromancer, Mage and perks. Older: Easier to start, easier to keep going. All updates.
