The First Hand

Followed the archive's oldest mark back to where it actually started, and it wasn't what I expected either. Not a foundation. Not the first brick in whatever got built later. An alarm. Someone noticed something, a long time before anyone else did, and tried to tell someone. I don't think it worked.

New character, Isbeth, who's spent her whole life keeping a house on instructions nobody ever explained to her. She finally gets to ask why. I gave her a real answer, and a real choice about what to do with it.

There's a second sealed letter in that house. Addressed, never sent. I know who it was for. Not saying yet.
